Dining with the Family

You may have noticed from my list of The Best Things I Ever Ate that I do not discriminate when it comes to dining.  I will eat traif (non-Kosher foods) and sometimes seek it out, as our home is Kosher. But dining with my family presents some challenges:  my daughter will only eat at Kosher or 100% vegetarian restaurants; my husband keeps Kosher but he will eat fish or dairy foods in a restaurant, and my son is a vegetarian.  This has put a damper on dining out with the entire family. But these days all of us being together is a rare occurrence, and so we’ve all learned to compromise when we actually can eat out together.

I am currently researching restaurants for an upcoming family trip to Chicago.  Wish me luck.
